(The Regional Cultural Board)

Extending the action of the Cultural Commission and Cultural Administration of the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, the Regional Cultural Board is involved in all artistic fields: live shows, cinema, audiovisual production, books and reading, cultural heritage, visual and graphic arts.

Its mission is focused on 3 areas:

	Regional development and widening public involvement The administration participates in achieving a better geographical and social distribution of the artistic proposals (tours, resident artists, exhibitions). It specifically addresses certain sections of society (those who are marginalised, the elderly, high school students or apprentices).

	Cultural Development The administration contributes to improving the skills of those working in a cultural environment. Assistance is offered to amateurs and professionals alike, and also to public organisations. It includes advice, equipment and work places.

	Promotion The administration ensures that the regional cultural participants and the regional policies are promoted in a variety of ways. These include an editorial production, the organisation of a wide range of events at a regional level, and the attendance of significant international events.
