eduMedia, scientific teaching material comes to life with Flash! |

eduMedia moved into its premises in Marseille’s Belle de Mai business incubator in September 2004 and has become the world’s leading provider of educational flash animation for science teaching. The whole of this innovative project can be viewed on the www.edumedia.fr site.
eduMedia has just received the prestigious "World Summit Award" international prize that ranks it in the current top 40 Internet content projects.
eduMedia offers educational establishments and publishers high-quality educational materials developed by teachers for teachers. The French Ministry of Education has endorsed 50 of these 350 animations.
eduMedia counts several hundred educational establishments among its customers, as well as France 5, the CEA and the New Brunswick Ministry of Education; and now, in order to develop its sales abroad, it intends to have its materials translated.

The Perucca limited company, an animated film production company founded in 2002 by two experienced artists/technicians: Philippe Balmossiere - assistant director and special effects (Walt Disney/Gaumont) and Eric Bouillette - head Animator (Walt Disney/Universal Studios), is about to set up a studio at Mollèges in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.
Perucca is kicking off to a strong start with the production of a pilot series working in conjunction with Luxanimation (Luxembourg) and 2 minutes (a flash animation studio) that will be presented by the forthcoming MIPTV.
The company is continuing its regular business as a service provider: creating characters, story-boards, production, animation supervision… the whole process right up to delivering the final animated scenes!

Bringing a international flair to the multi media cluster of Arles (Supinfocom, Atelier des Roues and special fundings), Jean Marc van Rijswick, a graduate from Supinfocom Arles, and after years of experience overseas (London, Brasil) and in Paris at Buf Company, wants to innovate the field of special effects and CG animation.
For this, he chose Provence to gather a team of international professionals to work for cinema, advertisement and television all over the world.

This new tax refund, capped at 100 000€, can represent as much as 20% of the expenditure incurred when buying new IT equipment.
Companies have to fulfill 4 conditions:
- < 250 staff.
- Turnover < 50M €
- Annual company profit < 43M€
- Shareholder capital must be fully paid-up.

Subsidy for film music production on TV |

| SACEM, the French Music Author & Writer society, is putting in place a subsidy to stimulate the production of TV film music. |
|
|
| The SACEM Culture department is starting a new incentive in 2005/6 in order to promote music creation for audiovisual media (fictional and real-life). The amount varies from 3500€ to 6000€ depending on the format of the TV programme. Once the application form has been filled in by the AV producer, it will then be assessed by the SACEM Culture department. |
